The best restaurant at the beach in years!
The best restaurant at the beach in years! Our waitress was engaging and guided us through the whole menu and checked on us throughout the meal with gentle caring. We decided that our main course would be the grilled whole rock-fish, and then backed up a bit to decide small first small dishes. One was grilled calamari with a wonderful spicy sauce and the other was exquisitely seared scallops. Then came the boned and beautifully presented rock-fish that we paired with Brussels sprouts. Two drinks before the meal and 2 glasses of chilled white wine with the main course led us into a shared crock of maple creme brullée. And a small glass of green Chartreuse capped the wonderful meal. Although there was some football game on the TV across the room, the volume was off and we heard just pleasant background music. We were in a side front room away from the hopping bar, our atmosphere was just downright pleasant.
Yummy, yummy, yummy
I love a restaurant where you can see your food being prepared. The atmosphere is rustic and charming all at once. The staff super friendly! I ate there with a group of friends so we were able to order several of the feast meals which are intended to be shared. The steak and the local fish were fantastic!! I also highly recommend the flat bread. Can't wait to go back and try more items on the menu.
Top-Notch Dining Experience!
Absolutely wonderful dining experience from beginning to end! Our server, Charlie, was outstanding, knew his stuff and went above-and-beyond to make us feel right at home. The love that the owner, John Trader, puts into his businesses (he also owns Liquid Assets in Ocean City, another incredible place) is so evident as soon as you walk in the door. We will definitely be back...soon!
Great First Impression
First impression was that I loved the decor right down to the wash tub sink in the ladies room. The food was delicious. We tried several small plates and sharing and sampling each other’s orders. We finished it off with 2 different flat bread options and they were both delicious. Service could not have been better. Will be back to try the larger "feasts" rotisserie chicken and steak.
Everything was a taste explosion
Enjoyed a leisurely dinner indulged by a charming and knowledgeable server named JJ. Great wine selection and JJ's recommendation for us was spot on. We feasted on a progression of delightfully delicious small plates including avocado deviled eggs with crab, mission figs baked with bleu cheese and prosciutto, and a fondu of ndujo (a spicy, spreadable salami from southern Italy) and roasted veggies. Everything was a taste explosion.
